X-Yachts X-41

The X-41, launched by the renowned Danish yard X-Yachts back in 2007 as a one-design racer/cruiser, quickly turned heads in the ORC world due to its impressive out-of-the-box performance. It has been a podium regular at ORC events since then, and delivers an amazing sailing experience during offshore as well as inshore races. As a trainer boat, it's extremely rewarding with its nimble steering and high responsiveness to sail and rig trim, which makes it ideal for a team looking for a steep learning curve.

The model performs well in all wind conditions, but truly proves itself as a speed machine when the wind picks up and the waves get rough - especially in heavy headwind - and it's an absolute pleasure to sail. The photo was taken just outside the Hoburg cape, the Southern point of Gotland Island, during the Gotland Runt Offshore Race 2023, one of the heaviest editions of the race since it was first held in 1937. Oxygen ended second in class, beaten only by the other X-41 joining the race.
